Dear Auntie Liz and Uncle Gordon,

Well, I have been here with my new Mum and Dad for a few days so I thought I would let you know how I am getting on. It was all very strange on my first day but I soon settled in and Mum & Dad took me down to a big field to meet my new girlfriend Molly. She is a black Labrador but I still fancy her! When we had been down the field we came back to my new home and there was a big fire in the evening which Molly and I lay in front of and snored until it was time for bed. My bed is next to Molly's and is next to the radiator so it is nice and warm all the time.

The next day we went to the woods and I met my new friend Stig. He does puppy bouncing like I do and we raced around the trees. There were lots of lovely smells and it is great to run and chase my new friends. I have been very well behaved and really good on the lead when we do our training walk. I have remembered my manners and you would be really proud of me. Yesterday we went to the beach. It was a bit weird as the water kept moving, but I'm sure I will get used to it. I also learnt that it is not good to drink.

Mum and Dad tell me they love me all the time and give me lots of cuddles and reassurance and my tail seems to keep wagging. Mum also said to say a HUGE thank you for such a wonderful dog - that's me! I will keep in touch and let you know how I get on, but don't worry, I am happy and relaxed and enjoying life to the full.

Maddie

Hi Gordon and Liz,
Thought I'd drop you a line to let you know that Maddie has settled really well. She has made herself quite comfy on the mat in front of the fire and plays well with Micky. She has eaten all her meals and been for walks without any problems - just a bit excited but I'm sure she will settle when she's been out and about more. She has wonderful manners and we feel so lucky to have found her. Thank you.

Ruby & Harry

Dear Gordon & Liz
Here's a picture of Harry and Ruby (alias Dirty Harry and Ruby-Doo) waiting for their piano lesson. Our daughters Carmen and Charlotte bought them their 'chav' red collars. Harry's has silver bones around it and Ruby's is diamante! Harry can open doors but Ruby simply jumps over the half-doors in the cottage. Although Harry is getting a bit grey around the muzzle he behaves like a daft puppy around the beautiful Ruby. Who's he trying to kid? He's helping Ruby to get used to the trains which thunder past on the Great Western Railway when we walk along the path beside the River Exe estuary. Harry takes no notice of them at all. Ruby in turn is helping Harry how to say hello to dogs nicely.

Sid (formerly Ianto)

Hi Gordon & Liz
As promised, here's a photo of our big baby, Sid. As you can see, he loves to sunbathe on the lounger! He loves being out in good weather but when it's raining you've got no chance of getting him outside!! We are both so very grateful that you brought him into our lives - we wouldn't be without him now and we just wish that we had room to take on another one!! Thank you so very much.

Savannah

Savannah came to us in a very thin and nervous state. Her new owners hadn't long lost a lovely rescue dog and as they are both retired, they had the time & patience needed to put Savannah right. She was very nervous and took a long time to accept them. She is still wary but the man in her life is now thoroughly acceptable..! Her home in the Vale of Glamorgan allows her to have the exercise she lacked and the enjoyment of long walks in a large country park, along a beach and to meet other dogs to at last learn how to play.
